Breast is best

I have now officially just completed 8 weeks of breast feeding! It’s a huge accomplishment. I know. My one complaint would have to be that I wish I had a breastfeeding girlfriend or someone else who has a baby around the same age I could buddy with. No I don’t mean, “Oh, let’s go and have a little breastfeeding frenzy, and braid each others hair.” I just feel it would be helpful and encouraging to have someone in the same stage as me. Someone who knows how difficult it is to wake up in the middle of the night and have this parasite suck the very last drop of life out of you. (I mean parasite in an endearing way.)

Anyways, I went to the pediatrician for a 2 month check, and was told that due to the fact that I am just breastfeeding, I should be giving my son a Vitamin-D supplement. I went to CVS/Brooks/Stop and Shop and none of them carried it. I ended up finding a multi vitamin today at Babies R Us (my most disliked store in the world)

Tips: It stains, so make sure your baby doesn’t spit it up on anything valuable.

Anyways, keep up the good work Breast Feeding Mamas! GOOD JOB! That parasite will grow up one day, and thank you! (or not)

FACT: Breastfed babies smell nicer, have nicer skin, and better eyes!
